“In the name of the Father, and of the Son…”

Read:

God so loved the world that he gave his only-begotten Son, so that everyone who believes in him might not perish but might have eternal life.

John 3:16

From the cross Jesus pours out the Father’s love and mercy to heal the wounds that result from our pride, our envy, our greed. On the cross, Jesus pays the price for our sins. He paid a debt he did not owe, because we owed a debt we could not pay.

Tell about a time someone helped you when you really needed it. Maybe it was while you were travelling. Or at work. Or at school. Maybe it was a family member. Or a friend. Or a stranger. How did that feel? Were you grateful?
