The Good Samaritan: Family Dinner & Prayer, Wk 9
“In the name of the Father, and of the Son…”
Read:
But a Samaritan traveler who came upon him was moved with compassion at the sight. He approached the victim, poured oil and wine over his wounds and bandaged them. Then he lifted him up on his own animal, took him to an inn, and cared for him.
Luke 10:33-34
Jesus, the outsider, has found us, beaten and broken. He has tended to our wounds and carried us to safety. And should we not do likewise? If Jesus can love us, if Jesus can get his hands dirty and spend all he has to save us, then who should we love and care for?
Discuss:
Tell about someone who needs God’s help today. Maybe it’s someone in your family. Maybe it’s someone from work. Maybe it’s someone from school, a friend, or even a teacher. What do they need from God? What do they need from you? Yes, some things are more than we can solve, but is there a way to show kindness?
